KENDREW WINS OXFORD PRESERVATION TRUST AWARD

MJP Architects' Kendrew Quadrangle at St John's College Oxford has won a 2011 Oxford Preservation Trust Award.
The Oxford Preservation Trust awarded Kendrew a plaque (highest recognition) in the new building category.

Kendrew Quadrangle is the third MJP designed building at St Johns College Oxford. 6000sqm in area over four floors with a large basement the Kendrew Quadrangle consists of 80 student rooms with 6 flats for college fellows and related academic and communal facilities. It is arranged in a quadrangle open to the South. The scheme has a strong sustainability strategy while the design was informed by the historical significance of the central beech tree and adjacent listed buildings.
