Development Plan University of Warwick

In 2002 Liz Pride was commissioned as Development Plan Architect by the University of Warwick to review the Development Plan, advise on the expansion of the Univeristy and design specific projects. The University campus includes significant land in the Warwickshire Green Belt.

The Development Plan provides a framework for the Estate to develop as an integrated whole and adresses the following issues:

Locations for buildings, routes and landscapes
 Framework for phased expansion
 Statutory Planning requirements
 Creating a sense of place
 Transportation
 Promoting sustainable development
 Creating a safe environment
 Accessibility

Individual projects have included the refurbishment of University House to create a student resource centre and the design of a new plaza and landscape to integrate the building into the campus.
